Set in more than 220 acres of beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, Queen Ethelburga’s has provided students with a vibrant and supportive school community since 1912.

A co-educational independent school for boarding and day students, we welcome girls and boys from 3 months old to 18 years. Children are supported through our unique four school system - Chapter House (3 months to Year 5), King’s Magna (Year 6 to 9), and The College or Faculty (both Year 10 to 13) – to become resilient, confident and independent young adults who are well prepared for their future.

QE is a happy and exciting place to learn. The Collegiate’s four smaller schools are designed to maintain a nurturing family atmosphere and some individuality, each having their own Heads and staff teams. This allows our staff to know their students thoroughly and form outstanding student teacher relationships based on mutual respect and unwavering support.
