Founded in 2005, @school-in-UK is owned and directed by Neil and Eileen Pockett. Using knowledge gained from years of experience working in the UK education system, they will identify the school or course that will best suit the individual need of each student. Providing a personal service, time is taken to ensure that a complete picture of each individual’s abilities and interests is obtained. Parents are presented with schools carefully selected to match the needs of their child.

The trust that schools have in the judgements made by Neil has meant that happy and motivated students enjoy their study, experiencing a high level of success. A large part of their success is due to being advised which school they are best suited in which to promote their potential and ability.Parents who wish their children to study in the UK should be applying to the most appropriate school for them, not the most famous or that may claim to ‘be the best’.

@school-in-UK has close links with and an understanding of UK independent boarding schools, colleges as well as English language schools for those International students arriving in the UK. Students and parents will receive guidance in understanding the details of all the UK courses available, as well as help with the application process.

The current Covid pandemic has created an increased demand for school places in the South West. Home working has led to a huge uptake in property searches in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall and the understanding that @school-in-UK has with schools in the region has proved to be of particular value to parents.

Excellence in teaching and learning is a given for schools in the South West. Of equal importance is the co-curricula dimension of education. With a wide range of open spaces and access to national parks, South West schools are able to offer stimulating creative and performing arts and music, excellence in specialist sports such as equestrianism, tennis academies, judo, climbing surfing and water sports. Cerebral activities may include debating, public speaking, science, history, mathematics and geology clubs or societies.
