Tree Carving

Simon O'Rourke is an international award winning wood sculptor based in North Wales and has been creating these beautiful pieces of art for the last 16 years. Simon's passion for sculpture comes from his deep admiration for the world's great classical sculptors such as Bernini and Rodin. From his humble workshop in Rossett, North Wales, he produces high quality wood sculptures for a wide variety of clientele.

His works have ranged from pet portraits to larger than life human form, fantasy sculpture and beyond. Recent commissions include a fifteen foot interpretation of the Rolls Royce figurine, 'The Spirit of Ecstasy' for a rolls Royce enthusiast, a life size portrait of a German Shepherd dog, and a World War two airman for Lord and Lady Carnarvon at Highclere Castle. Simon is also very happy to travel for commissions in order to be able to use a client's own tree stump in their private residence, but can source suitable timber if needed to create the perfect sculpture for that particular client.
