The Torti Family have run the Torti Winery situated in Montecalvo Versiggia since 1910. Located in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese in the north westerly region of Lombardy, the family produce an award-winning range of wines and sparkling wines – the region especially favoured for the production of Pinot Nero, Bonarda and Barbera.
Today’s production continues to be entrusted to the knowledgeable, experienced hands of Dino and his family who, dedicate pure passion and exacting attention to detail in the creation of their DOC Wines and Sparkling wines including the new “Cruasé” Sparkling Docg Rosé Limited Edition. All grapes are harvested by hand. The Brut Casaleggio Spumante Martinotti method (more widely recognized as the Charmat method) is obtained from Pinot Nero grapes cultivated on the Casaleggio hills. The most precious wine of the company is Pinot Nero, which derives from a plantation called "Borgogna" (Burgundy).
Tort wines including Barbera, Pinot Nero Vinified in white and their Pinot Nero aged in Barriques, have been the recipient of many international awards, confirming the importance of their vintages amongst Italian and indeed global connoisseur collections..
