Penny paints from pure inspiration, connecting to universal energy and painting from the heart. She attributes her ambidextrous technique to being a massage therapist for 30 years and her incentive is creating artwork with a purpose. As an amulet. Her artwork is on sale at Campbell’s of London and her website is www.pennys-inspirations.com.
Can you describe Penny’s Inspirations in a few words ?
A style of artwork created ,without really knowing it, artwork with a purpose. Artwork created from the heart, through connecting with the universal energy. It’s not what you see, it’s how you feel what you see.
How would you describe your style ?
My style is a style with movement and energy. This is achieved from painting from pure inspiration, from the heart and having a paint brush in both hands. Painting ambidextrously has been achieved from being a massage therapist for the past 30 years. The Well Being atmosphere I always seek to achieve for all my clients as a therapist is now the atmosphere I achieve through each of my canvases.
Who or what do you look at for inspiration ?
Nature is my inspiration, especially any forest. The trees create an amazing atmosphere.
My inspirational artists are Monet, Manet, and Turner. Kandinsky is a great inspiration as he believes each colour is a note to music, I listen to music and my brush strokes are to the rhythm of the music.
Which is more important to success ?
My opinion of success through my artwork is being able to share the benefits of art either as an artist wanting to learn and create or as a viewer using Pennys- Inspirations as an amulet in their surroundings.
Where do you hope to see Penny’s Inspirations in 5 years time ?
That is a tough question as an artist and therapist. My vision on life is one day at a time as the present is the most important. 5 years is a long way away but I hope to be known as the artwork with a purpose. I want my artwork to be recognised as not just a painting on the wall. An amulet for any wall. My objective is to continue to promote Penny’s Inspirations moto…..´It’s not want you see, it’s how you feel what you see’.
Can you explain how you have adapted the business as a result of the pandemic ?
The pandemic has been a passage I have used to create more artwork and develop my style and focus more on the power of art and it’s healing benefits. During all pandemics art has been used à the way of expression giving many hope.
