Harris Architects & Designers is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice based in Mallorca, Spain, working throughout the Balearic Islands and specialising in designing contemporary new houses and reforming historic buildings. Our objective is to design original homes focused on the unique qualities of each site, creating individually crafted projects.

Our design work is characterised by open, flexible, sun-lit spaces connecting the interior and exterior intelligently, creating imaginative and exciting houses to fit the needs and aspirations of contemporary life. This design approach was rewarded with the Mallorca Architecture Prize by the Balearic Chapter of Architects for the best new house built 2007-10.

Today, one of Mallorca’s leading international architecture studios and the only practice in the Balearics qualified and registered in both Spain and the UK, holding professional qualifications from the RIBA, Cambridge University, Barcelona School of Architecture and The Courtauld Institute, London University; with our twenty years of experience in Spain, Harris Architects & Designers offer professional knowledge and expertise, bridging local and international cultures and languages.

We believe design develops best through dialogue with our clients, and by making special effort to refine the brief, we encourage them to take part actively in the crucial stages of the project. We personally oversee all aspects of the building project, creating a coherent design for the entire scheme from architecture to the landscape and interior.

Whether building new or reforming existing buildings, we provide conscientious and impartial advice on all questions of design, planning and building in the Balearics, guiding our clients through all the stages of the project from design through to building completion, and advising them on everything they need to know in order to develop their project.
