As seen in British Vogue, ELSPETH CORNISH is an emerging British artist based in Stockholm, Sweden and painting Internationally. She offers bespoke Garden paintings and contemporary botanical watercolours. Her recent client list includes some of Sweden’s top Art Collectors, Pop stars, Business owners and last year her Art was exhibited at Queen Elizabeth II private birthday celebration at the British Ambassador ’s Residence, as her collection celebrated Bees and the vital role they play.
She aims to use her talent for good, and is a keen nature advocate. A percentage of her sales goes towards investing in meadows and bee hives and one of her partners in Stockholm is the beehive supplier ‘Biman', (www.Biman.se). Elspeth Cornish aims to do her part as a floral painter and use her art to help bees and pollinators, as these creatures have evolved with flowers. Shocked after learning that 30% of all bee hives fail each year in Europe due to over pesticide use and lack of wild flowers to forage from, her aim is to raise awareness in the vital role bees play, pollinating 70% of all crops.
Trained in Interior Architecture with a Foundation from UCL and a BA Degree in Interior Design from University of the Arts London, E.R. Cornish (as she signs her work) is a self taught watercolour artist. This gives her style a unique and recognisable quality creating contemporary botanical scenes of nature. Starting from £850 for an original watercolour or £150 for a limited edition print also available as commissions.
