It is said that cats have nine lives, but in our opinion one has to be enough – both for a cat and a cat tree.

Kissapuu designs and manufactures products for cats in a traditional Scandinavian style using high quality, durable and eco-friendly materials. A furniture-like and petite cat furnitures that will, no doubt, please a cat owner who is conscious of their interior decoration.

We strive to do our part in reducing the disposable culture and environmental strain caused by manufacturing any product. We still remember the time you had to save to buy the product you wanted. Often the final acquisition added to the joy. Even a cat becomes fond of long-lasting furniture. A cat is by nature a wise friend of nature and environment.

Our main product, Kissapuu cat tree, lasts the cat's lifetime. Worn parts, like rope, can be upholstered like a quality sofa. The tree only take a little floor space. We don't use any flimsy plastic or cardboard, which also helps cut waste. A metal pole at its core means it will withstand even pole dancing of the sturdiest of cat.

Customer can choose the color and material options that fit their interior style, including customized room height. The number of platforms and their position in the pole can be adjusted to the cat and owners needs, creating a unique cat tree!

Kissapuu stands firmly between the floor and the ceiling without permanent fastening, which means no wall damage, no need for drilling and it is easy to relocate. A single person can manage the assembly.

For wall climbing, we have a selection of shelves and ladders. They are especially aimed for small spaces. Our shelves and ladders are designed to be used also for displaying books, flowers or decorative items. We sell them also to people who don't have a cat - yet.

We all have animal friends with whiskers and tails at home. Animal activation and well-being is important to us. We co-operate with several animal protection associations across Finland.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Kissapuu product designers are professionals of designing, upholstery and carpentry who are paid an appropriate compensation for their work. We also provide work for several other self-employed professionals.

We have been granted the Design from Finland Mark. We fullfill the new criteria of sustainability valid from 2020 onwards.
