WaMa Designs was established in May 2009 and is managed by Design Director, Wan Zainal Abidin. His more than 20 years experience in the field as a leading creative consultant is well established in the corporate world, netting the company the coveted International Property Award 2020 for its work on the Pantai Jerudong Specialist’s Centre’s public services interior. The company also lists DST Communications, Telbru, Islamic Development Bank, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, B Mobile, MAERSK, Jerudong Park Medical Centre and The Brunei Cancer Centre, as among their prestigious clientele.

As the only known design company specialising in Commercial Interiors and Branding in Brunei Darussalam, WaMa’s professionally qualified personnel embraces strong and practical approaches to improving and creating Corporate Identity through the development of New Branded Environments.

A graduate of Architecture with a major in Interior Design, Wan has been designing beautiful spaces for almost three decades. As a registered Interior Designer of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), whose rigorous entry requirements assess training and experience; Wan continues to pursue self-development. This ensures his continued expertise and knowledge is in line with the institute’s professional calling. By keeping up-to-date on the design pulse by learning about new technologies, innovative methods and creative materials through his global network.

Often finding inspiration overseas during his many travels has enabled him to efficiently transform local spaces throughout the Sultanate courtesy of the many global design trends he brings home. His belief that everybody should experience the joy of being surrounded by beautiful things has been passed down through his team, generating a unique experience for every client encountered.
