Paul Day designs and manufactures bronze sculpture for private homes and public spaces. With 25 years of professional experience and four national London monuments to his name Paul Day is highly skilled at creating bespoke sculptures that enhance and improve the environment whilst being bold and challenging pieces of contemporary art. He works in partnership with leading architects and foundries to produce his work, from domestic scaled pieces to monumental statues.
Governments, companies and individuals commission sculpture to create something spectacular, to celebrate an achievement, to memorialise their history and to leave a lasting legacy. Paul Day’s work is uniquely placed to respond to all of these demands in a highly personal and adaptable way. Whether working in the historic heart of London, on an architecturally designed business development in Baltimore or in a private garden in Cape Town, Paul Day will work hand in hand with the client to find the best design solutions for a specific location.
His best known public sculpture to date is the 9m tall embracing couple in London’s St Pancras Station, inaugurated by HM the Queen in 2007. This work greets visitors to the UK arriving on Eurostar trains and has become an iconic symbol of London, seen by hundreds of thousands of people each year. His Battle of Britain London Monument in Westminster, unveiled by HRH the Prince of Wales in 2005, celebrates the history of the Second World War fighter pilots who saved Britain from invasion during 1940.
