Paint My Garden

Deborah Philpott of Paint My Garden is a British-born fine artist graduating from West Surrey  College of Art & Design with a BA Hons in Fine Art. After a postgraduate degree in Teaching, she embarked on a career in education and teaching Art, whilst still continuing to paint.

More recently beginning her freelance art career, Deborah set up Paint My Garden, to offer commissioned paintings of people's gardens. Aiming to provide a bespoke service and product to capture memories of spaces very personal to us all. Working directly with the client, Deborah is able to consult on sizes, colours, and compositional arrangement to create a very personal project. Many of these commissions act as gifts, or for a special occasion, usually managed remotely.

As a nature lover, gardens and the wider landscape have literally led Deborah down the garden path and have become sources of inspiration and pleasure to paint; from as far afield as Barbados to more home grown gardens in the UK.

Deborah’s work truly reflects her love of colour and mark making. She explores the medium of acrylic by using a range of techniques and colour palettes. She loves to work with interesting hues of colour to produce uplifting and joyful artwork.

"Deborah was incredibly helpful and responsive during the planning process and gave constant updates of how she was progressing. She managed to capture the ethereal light of dusk when the mountains turn rose pink, the vibrancy of the flowers and the rustic architecture.  When we were able to celebrate with my parents in June, they were blown away with the painting and how it captured their favourite view in the world."

Deborah’s work is found in private collections, and she has previously exhibited and had solo exhibitions in the UK. Paint My Garden has been featured in House and Garden, and currently on line through www.contemporaryartfairs.co.uk.

She will be exhibiting at the Surrey Contemporary Art Fair, Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, England from 24th - 26th September 2021.
