Otium is a specialist consultant, developer and operator of luxury retirement villages in South East Asia. Otium Living was incorporated in Singapore in 2017 by CEO and founder Daniel Holmes, and brings together a team of experts in market insight, medical expertise and hospitality to create this unique approach to retirement living.

Operating in partnership with the region’s most reputable property developers, Otium strives to establish the industry standard in luxury retirement lifestyle. Specialising in market research, consultation on property design and development, medical and wellness programme development, sales and marketing services as well as operations and property management, Otium caters specifically for the over 50’s market. With over 35 years collective experience in retirement, Otium has spent the last 5 years gaining a detailed understanding of the specific needs of people planning and enjoying their retirement in South East Asia.

The villages are designed to deliver a coveted lifestyle that combines luxury property with a suite of world class sports and leisure facilities. With a focus on a healthy, active life within a like-minded community, Otium creates a unique environment where retirees can pursue their passions surrounded by friends and family.

Each village is centred around the Otium Club, home to the gym, cinema, restaurants and café as well as the Niche Naturopathic Health and Wellness centre, that offers wellness programmes designed for residents changing needs. Residents live in their own homes with the comfort of an emergency first response medical suite and care staff if this is required.

Otium continues to invest in research to develop and evolve the offering for those approaching retirement as the aging population opens up new opportunities to see retirement differently in the future with the intention to expand the Otium village network across South East Asia in the next 5 years.

New projects are in development in Bangkok with potential new sites being identified in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore.
