Samantha Drummond is the design visionary and strategist behind ground-breaking developments, large and small, such as Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, Solaire Resort & Casino in central Manila and Ulrik Storm menswear store in Odense, Denmark. She has also acted as design director on many exclusive residential, restaurant and mixed-use projects around the globe. She works in collaboration with some of the world’s leading architects and designers, with acclaimed artists, artisans and chefs and with elite retail brands, and she leads her own interior design company, Habitus Design Group, which has studios in Asia and Europe. In 2020, The Spear’s Luxury Index named Samantha as one of the innovators, tastemakers and leaders at the forefront of luxury design.
Habitus interiors combine a refined language of international luxury with genuine local character in a narrative that is individual to each project. Samantha and her team are as attuned to planning and designing large resorts with something for everyone as they are in creating a sumptuous residence for a private individual. The golden thread that connects their work is an instinct to achieve a unique result, whatever the commission - an outcome that establishes a new benchmark, delivers commercial success and fulfils the personal and familial wishes of a client wanting a very special home.
Current projects include a new restaurant for a Michelin Star chef in Copenhagen, a new-build country estate in Denmark and a family summer house in the picturesque Danish coastal town of Skagen. In the Philippines, Habitus is busy designing the interiors of Solaire Quezon City which will be the first-of-a-kind, five-star integrated resort in North Manila with numerous restaurants, a sky bar and rooftop terrace, high-end retail, gaming and 800 guestrooms and suites.
