Conceived by Keith Rawkins, co founder of Marina Mill, Extex was introduced to transform the outdoor fabric industry after a number of commissions with the marine industry revealed the available fabrics to be lacking in the design consideration and style seen elsewhere in interiors. Drawing experience from the fine art provenance and renowned reputation of Marina Mill as a distinguished British textile house, Extex was designed exclusively for the super yacht and outdoor industry to provide an exciting alternative.

From Mull, the original exterior chenille and first fabric to launch under Extex, the collection has grown to a total of 12 unique ranges, each of which combines high performance qualities with sophisticated style and softness. Employing advanced yarn technology, the entire range is water repellent, stain resistant, light fast, pre-shrunk and machine washable to easily adapt to the unpredictable environment outdoors. Providing a comprehensive collection of beautiful outdoor fabrics, the 12 ranges offer over 100 colour options, from light neutral tones to vibrant, bold colours and on-trend pastel shades. With each range carefully considered to complement one another, Extex celebrates the simplicity of plain fabrics alongside more decorative patterns, rich textures and textile innovations that range from three-dimensional surface patterns to the pioneering glow-in-the-dark print of Solar. Proud supporters of the Made in Britain campaign, all printed fabrics are created in-house along with sampling, design and a commitment to local sourcing that sees 90% of all fabrics used sourced in Britain.
