The Decorative Collective is a UK company, with an international appeal. Created in 2009 by two antique dealers to fill a gap in the on-line marketplace sector that provided an attractive, stylish and easy to use website to satisfy the needs of high end interior designers and private clients seeking great quality, unusual antiques and 20th century items for the home and garden.
What started off as a small presence has today grown into a worldwide recognised resource for great items at fair prices. Presented in a attractive format, with numerous photos and description being provided for each piece, clients are able to drop into the site at any time of the day or night to suit them. They can browse and select their items of choice at their leisure. There is no sales pressure, no pitch, just beautifully presented pieces providing you with a massive range of choice.
Categories include furniture, seating, lighting, mirrors, art, garden and accessories. Also included are some select 21st century pieces such as rugs, lighting and seating. Items are added by the dealers themselves, throughout the day, every day. Clients contact the dealers directly to ask questions or enquire about an item, so every transaction is transparent and clear and the client is in control at every stage. If help or assistance in purchasing is required, then owner, Jane Walton, is always pleased to help and clients wishing to purchase anonymously, can do so by asking Jane to act as agent on their behalf, thus keeping their details private, which some clients find useful.
Representing around 125 UK and European dealers, it’s not the largest site of it’s type, but the DC relishes it’s more intimate, friendly approach, allowing it to only take on selected dealers with great items, rather then allowing just anyone to be part of the DC family.
If you preference is for a little more fun things, then the DC has a little sister site, The Hoarde, which showcases vintage and retro items.
We look forward to welcoming you.
