This, coupled with the rising cost of building materials as a result of global inflation, means there is no better time to reassess your current policy. The cost to rebuild or repair your property in 2022 is likely to be significantly higher than in previous years. Your premium is based on the Building Sum Insured (BSI), and it’s advisable to check that your existing terms are accurate, otherwise you run the risk of being significantly underinsured in the event of a claim.
