PLP Architecture is creating 5,000 Non-Fungible Tokens based around a virtual concept building, in an effort to “investigate where they can add value and cross over the digital boundary”, reports Abode2.
The London-based architecture studio PLP has broken ground on a major scheme in the digital realm, creating a collection of 5,000 NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) in collaboration with metaverse property platform VerseProp.
Buying a token provides ownership rights to a one-off digital artwork plus “each NFT will have a valuable commercial utility attached to it”. This is in the form of “exclusive content embedded into the tokens”, such as webinar tickets, physical artwork, and the chance for owners to work with PLP to design their own building in the metaverse.
“The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between those interested in both digital and physical real-estate, with content that is designed to appeal to both audiences and that is accessible to all,” explains the team.
