Towering Above

07.04.23

One trend gaining popularity is residential developments with multiple towers. By incorporating multiple towers, developers can create a unique and eye-catching design, as well as offer a wider variety of housing options for residents. Abode2 visits three outstanding residential developments featuring at least two towers, that are offering this unique and luxurious living experience

One High Line

Developed by Witkoff Group & Access Industries, One High Line is a luxury condominium project spanning a full city block in Manhattan's West Chelsea neighbourhood. One High Line is comprised of two sculptural twisting travertine towers designed by the world-class Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, with interiors in the 36-story West Tower by New York-based Gabellini Sheppard and in the 26-story East Tower by Paris-based Gilles & Boissier. Offering 236 residences from one-to-five bedrooms and an assortment of expansive penthouses, each tower provides spectacular unobstructed views across the Hudson River and New York City skyline while embracing the adjacent High Line park.

Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, One High Line’s sculpted travertine stone towers span an entire city block and boast condominium homes with unobstructed city and water views. Each superbly executed tower boasts oversized windows providing every home with natural light.

The Astor

Originally built by the legendary William Waldorf Astor in 1901, The Astor is now being restored and upgraded for the modern buyer while retaining the pre-war character and charm for which Manhattan's Upper West Side is known. This Upper West Side gem features three towers with carefully restored pre-war details. The Astor's classic feel and historic character is perfectly complimented with fresh contemporary interiors. Each tower of the building has incredible tree-lined Upper West Side views taking you back in time to when the building was first established.

222 E. Broadway

Located on the corner of East Broadway and Clinton Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side, 222 E. Broadway comprises a ground-up 28-story luxury tower and renovated 11-story landmarked loft building. Inspired by the neighbourhood, 222 E. Broadway was designed by New York-based architectural firm SLCE Architects, with an exterior facade by acclaimed architectural design studio S4 Architecture and interiors by award-winning Paris Forino, to fit effortlessly into its historic surroundings on the Lower East Side. Built within the bones of the landmarked Bialystoker building, the residences in the Loft building feature tall ceilings, herringbone flooring and classic marble surfaces that complement the building's historic facade. In the newly built Tower, open layouts and airy details pay homage to the modern yet timeless design found in the neighbourhood. Prices at 222 E. Broadway range from $985,000 for a studio and $6,950,000 for a four-bedroom residence.
