The Scout 425 LXF S-Class Luxury Center Console 

The 425, like all Scout models, is 100% hand-laid. Its double-stepped hull is built utilizing a state-of-the-art epoxy infusion process with Carbon Fiber/E-Glass. This technique has been used in the aerospace industry for years but has typically been a historically unpopular process to marine manufacturers for numerous reasons: materials cost, labour skill, and lack of technology to implement, to name a few. Less than 1% of marine manufacturers utilize these processes. Multiple feeder lines are attached and monitored by skilled craftspeople to inject the exact amount of epoxy necessary into the fibreglass and core. They are vacuum bag infused (creating the strongest epoxy-to-glass ratio possible), eliminating air pockets and preventing unnecessary excess epoxy. Once fully infused, they are then baked at 135°-140°F for eight hours to post-cure the hull while they are still secured in the mould. 

Scouts built a reputation for being first-to-market with innovations throughout its 30+ year history, and this model carries the company philosophy forward with perks like the standard hydraulic port side beach platform with stowable pocket ladder – ideal for boarding/de-boarding safely away from the transom and engines – and the standard three Garmin 8616 touch screens at the helm. From the helm, stern and key fob, the owner can control features throughout the model with the help of C-Zone digital switching technology as well. There’s also a standard Seakeeper 5 gyro stabilizer, with the option to upgrade to a Seakeeper 6. 

Standard features throughout include a full transom walk-thru platform with Armstrong dive ladder; dual transom walk-thru doors; gas shock-assisted hatches; flush mount cleats and rod holders; port and starboard floor fish boxes with overboard diaphragm discharge; a patented powder-coated hardtop with curved glass enclosure; under hardtop/under gunnel LED lighting; a pull-out stern cockpit seat; retractable fresh and raw water hoses in the hardtop aft; and Synthetic teak swim platform, transom doors, bow table and helm step and footrest; heated forward helm seats and 2nd-row seats; and an anchor camera…just to name a few. 

The boat also comes standard with a Garmin helm Wi-Fi router; Fusion stereo with (10) 7.7” and (2) 8.8” speakers, (2) amps, (1) 10” sub, forward deck remote control and Bluetooth compatibility; AGM batteries for house and engines; and a dynamic leaning post with an electrically actuated drawer cooler, summer kitchen with grill, sink, cutting board, and swivel barstools. Other notable systems include an anchor windlass wash-down hose, water heater, generator, electronic bow table with filler cushion, and air conditioning.  

Down below, the appointments resemble the elegance of those on a private jet. You’ll find a single burner glass stove cooktop, microwave, 32” LED TV (that doubles as a mirror when off), galley sink, drawer refrigerator, enclosed shower area with sump and an enclosed head area with a full-size toilet and sink with hot and cold water. Stainless accents can be found throughout, and the sitting area easily converts to a berth.  

Notable options aboard the 425 include electrically actuated retractable rocket launchers, an electric Sure Shade integrated retractable aft awning (which also intelligently works in conjunction with the retractable rocket launchers), a stainless-steel hardtop access ladder, or you can opt for a full bench in the 1st and 2nd-row helm seating with an optional additional Garmin 8616 display mounted centre aft of the 2nd-row seating.
