1. Activities

There are plenty of lifestyle-enhancing activities nearby our Concierge can organise for you, allowing residents at Aspen Mews to experience the wonders of nature, the sea, wellbeing, and plenty of fresh clean air.

Hainault Forest Country Park, Epping Forest, and Roding Meadows Nature Reserve offer nature lovers such as cyclists, horse riders and walkers, a rich tapestry of diverse landscapes and spectacular views right on their doorstep. Or why not try a round of golf at the prestigious Chigwell Golf Club which proudly boasts one of the highest slope ratings in Essex, with the white tees rated as 138? Meanwhile, beach lovers have a variety of sandy shores to choose from such as Frinton, Clacton, Southend, and West Mersea, whilst sailing enthusiasts flock to the likes of Brightlingsea, Fairlop Waters Sailing Club, and Burnham Yacht Harbour.

For health and wellbeing, Chigwell is home to Virgin Active, David Lloyd, and Nuffield Health, offering the complete health and fitness club experience. Other activities might also include yoga, meditating, shooting, heading to the cinema, museums, and theatre.

 If you love your food, you will be spoilt for choice at Aspen Mews. Firstly, Chigwell is home to the renowned ‘Sheesh’ restaurant which earnt ‘Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the UK’ recently. It is located within a stunning grade II listed building, previous Ye Old Kings Head, which has welcomed the likes of Dick Turpin, Winston Churchill, and Arnold Schwarzenegger through its doors. It’s also the second oldest public house in England! However, there are a number of great other options in nearby towns and villages.

For those who fancy taking it up a notch, why not travel into London and indulge in some unforgettable cuisine. The city can be easily reached within 40 minutes via the nearby underground stations of Grange Hill and Chigwell.

Every apartment has its own parking space at Aspen Mews, meaning your cars can come with you if you move here. When your wheels need their regular services and MOT’s or require picking up due to a cracked windscreen or burst tyre, just ask our Concierge to arrange it all for you with your local mechanic / car dealership.
