Taylor Swift takes over Tribeca with fourth property purchase

Pop star Taylor Swift appears to be taking over a New York block, after splashing out her fourth property in the area.

This month, the 28-year-old singer scooped her fourth property in Tribeca - a second-floor apartment at 155 Franklin Street - which cost her a cool £6.9 million.  The most recent purchase bringing her total Tribeca Empire to a whopping $47.7 million

The Grammy winner already owns two top-floor flats in the same block, previously owned by Lord of the Ring director Peter Jackson, which she turned into an 8,000 square feet duplex. The End Game singer also owns a townhouse, worth more than $18 million, next door to the development.

Her latest acquisition, a 3,540-square-foot unit bought from financier Jeremy Phillips, is a prestigious building which hosts a number of celebrities including comedian and actor Aziz Ansari.

The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom apartment in the historic building - which was not publically listed - reportedly boasts hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, oak-framed windows, a wood-burning fireplace and cast iron columns. The master suite is also said to have a spacious dressing room and marble bathroom.

Her fourth purchase within the area in less than four years has many people scratching their heads for what she has planned, but the singer currently remains tight-lipped about her plans.
