The name Ballerina was inspired by world-renowned artist Jeff Koons’ “Seated Ballerina,” the multi-million-dollar sculpture that lives in Oceana Bal Harbour’s beachside garden. Ballerina is collaboratively designed by world-famed Italian designer and architect Piero Lissoni, founder of Lissoni Associati (1986) and will be composed of seasonally inspired contemporary cuisine infused with Italian and Mediterranean influences. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, acting as an extension of the residents’ kitchen.

As one of the only residential restaurants in Miami to have a liquor license, Ballerina’s indoor-outdoor space offers an Italian-inspired menu (gluten-free and vegan options are available to resident’s as well) with fresh seafood varieties, homemade pastas, sandwiches, salads, juices and cocktails. Residents can also indulge in pool-deck gourmet bites and cocktails, in-condo room service deliveries and dinner-party catering services with on-site chefs and wait staff, all which can be requested and scheduled through the development’s mobile application. The waitstaff and culinary team also keep careful records of residents’ dietary restrictions and preferences.

Functioning as a social hub for Oceana residents, Ballerina also offers cooking classes where residents can learn how to make farm-to-table Italian dishes such as Vitello Tonnato lobster salad, freshly prepared crab cakes, grilled octopus, Italian classic Branzino fish from the Mediterranean Sea; fresh salads, refreshing and nutritional juices, lively cocktails and more – all of which can be enjoyed with views of the sun-drenched pool deck and Jeff Koons’ multi-million-dollar sculpture, Seated Ballerina.

The 100-seat exposed kitchen concept is located adjacent to the building’s pool deck and spa with views of the Atlantic Ocean to provide residents with a playful and eclectic dining experience that caters to each resident’s diverse appetite. Additionally, the gourmet pavilion operates in synergy with the spa concepts by offering “eating conscious” and farm-to-table selections.

Through the restaurant’s mobile application, residents can also place personalised orders. While the restaurant will remain exclusive for the residents, guests of homeowners will be welcomed to dine.
