Crafting a unique design narrative which places the client at the centre of the process, is key for Keith Miller. Julia Millen spoke to the inspirational designer about his people first philosophy

Keith constructed the foundations of his business on the basis of “Relationships First”. Every client engaging with Miller Interior Design quickly learns that they are patient but persistent, as well as committed to treating everyone they encounter not just with respect but with honour and dignity as well. Keith understands that when everyone is thriving, the very best work is achieved. The treasures crafted are expertly made and, by Keith’s requirement, with joy and for the fun of it, and it shows. “We thrive in singularity, sifting through all the creativity in the world to mete out what our team would do for you to create enlivening spaces that foster vibrancy in your interiors.” Keith quips and continues: “What is perfect for one client is off the table for another, so we make sure our creations are rarely duplicated.” With Keith’s acumen for complexity and variety, anything in the world can serve as inspiration. The team invest time in their initial conversations, investigating the underpinnings of their client’s home life, values and preferences.
