John Bell & Croyden, the renowned pharmacy emporium in London’s Harley Street Medical Area, has launched a InResidence Health Clinic, enabling customers to access specified medications without a visit to the doctor’s surgery.

Our private Patient Group Direction (PGD) clinic, located on Wigmore Street, Central London, enables pharmacists to supply and administer licensed medicines to patients who fit certain clinical criteria, freeing them of the need to seek a prescription from a nurse or doctor.

This includes obesity, urinary tract infections, throat infections, ear infections, and flu, as well as emergency inhaler supply, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, allergies, a variety of skin conditions, and vaccinations for travel and occupational health.

With the hospital backlog continuing to drive pressure on healthcare services as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and community pharmacies increasingly playing a key role in helping to meet rising demand, it aims to provide a safe route for patients to access timely care, while easing the pressure on GPs.

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a heightened focus on healthcare, with the role of the pharmacy thrust to the forefront of public consciousness.
