Inspired by New York City's most iconic Art Deco skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and Rockefeller Center, NoMad’s Rose Hill — a new 45-story residential tower by Rockefeller Group, the original developers of Rockefeller Center — is complete, Abode2 takes a tour

With architecture and interior design by CetraRuddy, the acclaimed global architecture firm known for successfully blending modern design with crafted detail, Rose Hill represents an unprecedented approach to urban living. The shared DNA with Rockefeller Center is apparent when you walk through the front door, as Rose Hill’s lobby transports you into a modern twist of the Roaring 20's aesthetic. Residents are greeted with commissioned mural by New York & Paris-based Matthew Cole—a piece that brings nature and outdoor elements into the space, allowing some escapism from the city’s bustling streets. The lobby's intricate flooring sets the stage for the entire mural’s composition as it closely mirrors the colour of the artwork’s sky.

Further into the space, residents can find a lobby bar dubbed “The Blue Room,” which encompasses a hotel-like private lounge and eight-foot-tall marble fireplace clad with a bronze-finished ornamental screen, as well as a Strand Books-curated library and beautifully landscaped garden courtyard.

Take the elevator down a level, and you enter Rose Hill’s health and wellness centre. The space includes Rose Hill’s stunning indoor pool, which takes inspiration from the public bath houses of the 30s and 40s and the Spirit of Normandy ship. It is clad in hand-wrought tiles and trim with deep turquoise handmade tiles from Vermont. The focal point of the pool space is an elegant mosaic mural that pays homage to women and the Amazon goddesses of the time-period. The pool is also adjacent to a professional grade squash court, in partnership with SquashRx, as well as a fully equipped fitness centre curated by New York City’s leading HIIT and strength brand FHITTING ROOM. Also, on the ground floor and programmed by Strictly Cycling Collective, one of the city’s best cycling shops, is a dramatic bike room with an in-house bike repair workshop for resident use.

Take up the elevator to the 37th floor and check out the building’s brand-new private resident’s lounge that gives residents of all floors access to the penthouse treatment. The lounge includes 360-degree sky lounge views of all of New York City, a Strand Books-curated library, a private dining room, and lush indoor/outdoor entertaining spaces. The Observatory Room offers a billiards table, ample seating space, and opens up to a covered outdoor terrace with several tables and chairs for lounging.

The sophisticated collection of 121 homes ranges from studio to four bedrooms and boasts soaring ceilings, oversized windows, custom kitchen cabinetry and marble baths with custom-designed vanities, along with a rich selection of hand-selected materials.
