Olinca is an international school that values the history and cultural heritage of Mexico and follows both the local Mexican SEP and UNAM curricula, as well as offering the International Baccalaureate. The trilingual approach (Spanish, English, French) for 6-12th grade students seeks to develop students who are critical thinkers and who are aware of their impact on the wider local and global community. These values are strongly shared with many schools in our Cognita community.
Commenting on the announcement, Josep Caubet, CEO for Cognita Latin America, said: “Welcome Olinca to our worldwide Cognita family! It is a dream come true. When we started to plan the expansion into Latin America back in 2008, Mexico was the first country we analysed. Among the many schools we visited, we fell in love with this school and their very special ethos, which is why we feel so privileged and honoured to reach this strategic alliance so that we can collaborate together, sharing best practice both ways to create an even more innovative and global educational environment for all Olinca students. Our Cognita schools are also really eager to start this collaboration!”
