Kirsty Ettrick, CEO and Founder of London Medical Concierge explains how a bespoke medical service can help alleviate the stress of choosing the right healthcare
What inspired you to set up London Medical Concierge?
It’s a service I needed when my husband was seriously ill and I had to juggle searching for specialists with caring for our young family. I understand first-hand how complex finding the correct diagnosis and the right medical care can be, and want to help reduce the anxiety, time and emotional strain that comes with researching doctors and treatment.
How important is it that people seek the best medical care options available?
Every patient should be seen as an individual – with a unique set of needs which can affect their treatment pathway. Through our network of clinical experts, we’re able to keep abreast of all the key advances and treatment options such as immunotherapy, genetic sequencing and minimally invasive surgical procedures.

We offer innovative navigation through all areas of medical treatment including dedicated cancer care, mental health, clinical trials, health screening, genetic sequencing and more. You tailor care for each individual. How is this achieved?
As soon as the patient contacts us, we assess their needs and the type of help we can provide. We then speak with our medical advisory panel who look over their notes and advise on the best treatment and specialist. Our Patient Liaison Managers are in constant contact with the patient, providing support and taking on any aspect of the medical journey including travel, translation services and private nursing, to ensure a stress-free experience.
What sets London Medical Concierge apart from other medical advisory teams?
Our Medical Advisory Panel’s expertise informs the connections we make for our patients via our network of over 200 medical leads across the world. Esteemed members of the medical panel are world renowned leaders in their fields covering such specialisms as oncology, gynaecology, general practice, vascular surgery and dermatology.
What has been the response from patients so far?
Every patient has been incredibly grateful for the service. Patients who have come to us seeking a second opinion on their diagnosis have felt relieved at either receiving the right diagnosis or reassured that they are already on the right treatment programme. We’re delighted that one of our patients, who came to us for a second opinion on his cancer diagnosis, transferred his care to one of our network of consultants – and is now in remission. We believe treatment should be bespoke so everything we do is personalised to individual needs
