St John & St Elizabeth Hospital in North West London has recently opened the doors to its new £35million wing, the largest investment in its 165-year history. The new wing is the jewel in the crown of a hospital committed to delivering excellent care and impeccable standards. 

St John and St Elizabeth Hospital is proud to work with some of the world’s finest Consultants at the forefront of their field. The hospital, affectionately known to locals as St John and Lizzies, is London’s leading charitable hospital, and this year is celebrating 165 years of providing excellent care. The launch of the new wing has been the perfect way to honour the hospital’s rich heritage, as well as look to the future and usher in an exciting new chapter. 

Six theatres have already been unveiled, as well as a new department for scans and tests, private changing rooms and modern waiting areas.  Should a visit to hospital be needed, people can benefit from modern technology and equipment, calm surroundings filled with natural light, and expert, attentive care.

Founded in 1865, St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is one of the UK’s largest independent charitable hospitals. Excellence of care has been at the core of its ethos since it opened under the care of the Sisters of Mercy, an order of nuns who worked with Florence Nightingale in the Crimean War.  All these years later, the Hospital has stayed true to its mission to help the needy in the local community. All treatments in the hospital help fund the onsite St John’s Hospice, which provides free care to over 4,500 people and their families each year, across seven boroughs.
