“Creating is about stimulating new ideas and finding ways to articulate them. This is the reason why I am inspired by architecture, science, design, technology, music, film, photography, poetry, and of course Nature. I embrace and consider each of these as sources of inspiration and expression of various Art Forms. This process allows me to pull out of conformity while naturally remaining close to the fundamentals of organic flow,” she states.

Claudia Meyer is likely the most creative and innovative artist I’ve got to meet.

More often than not, one is content with a plausible interpretation of a subject, but Claudia doesn’t settle for the status quo, instead she has a relentless urge in exploring new artistic boundaries nurtured by a ceaseless strive to evolve and refine – a new level of creativity reached is for Claudia a new incentive to explore and go forward.

While Nature is at the core of her inspiration, Claudia uses and implements the latest technology tools to create gleaming and mesmerizing abstract designs where light and shadow subtly interplay; these new techniques incorporated in her art include Plexiglas, 3D printing, LED technology and animation, also virtual and augmented reality. “It’s not just a flat surface with light; it’s texture, and a texture that doesn’t stand still, it’s a reflective surface that is catching the light and transforming it,” Meyer says. “It’s like in Nature; Nature is transforming with the sunlight, the moonlight and the shadows.”

Originally from Lucerne, a lakeside and picturesque town in north Switzerland, Claudia Meyer grew up with a strong connection with Nature, also participating in the projects of her farther, an innovative architect to whom she attributes her strength and energy of today. It is no wonder that today Claudia supersedes the expression of fusion between Nature, Art and Technology.

This level reached by Claudia is the outcome of a long and fruitful journey. First, when she was in Stuttgart studying with ‘the grand master of German design’ Anton Stankowski. Then in New York where Claudia moved to study design via computer at the School of Visual Arts, and where she later acquired a silk-screen printing major, as well as several prizes while studying fabric design and modern technologies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, USA.

Besides her active presence on the art international scene through Solo Shows in selected Galleries and leading Art Fairs, Claudia Meyer works mainly on commissioned and corporate projects, be they individual collectors, luxury property developers, and hotel interior designers.
