Wales’ Oldest University Campus Closes

The University of Wales Trinity St David (UWTSD) has announced the end of university education at its Lampeter campus, Wales' oldest, with humanities courses relocating to Carmarthen.

Founded in 1822, the Lampeter campus has hosted higher education for over 200 years.

The move, set for September, has sparked opposition from students and the community, who are fighting to preserve the town’s academic heritage.
