Designer Pal Pang has used bespoke furniture, original artwork and Feng Shui principles to create a luxuriously soothing space.
Just because it’s a penthouse, it doesn’t mean it’s perfect. When designer Pal Pang first stepped into a £7 million apartment on the Battersea Power Station Estate he realised there was much that could be done to improve it.
The kitchen was open plan and that didn’t feel right, plus you could see into the bedrooms from the front door. His brief was to ‘create a lifestyle’ and the job took 15 months.
“I changed the architecture of the interior,” says Pal. “I completely reconfigured the space and also used lighting to improve the zoning. Throughout I installed custom-made details with leather, timber and aluminium.”
In addition to the interior there is a roof garden measuring 2500 square foot, with views of Battersea Power Station where Pal is currently overseeing the installation of an outdoor kitchen by Smallbone.
Feng shui principles have been used throughout the apartment. “I’ve worked with some great Feng Shui masters,” says Pal who divides his time between Hong Kong and London. “It is an ancient tradition that works really well in a modern building. It’s all about the energy you create and the way it makes people feel.”
Pal Pang heads Another Design International Ltd and has offices in Italy, Poland, Hong Kong, China and London. He specializes in high-end residential projects.
