Topping out the tallest residential tower

Marking a significant construction milestone, Chalegrove Properties Limited (CPL) recently achieved the topping out of its flagship development, Landmark Pinnacle. Reaching 239 metres (784 ft.) above ordnance level, the tower has become one of London’s tallest and most prominent residential buildings.

With over 30 years of experience producing award-winning real estate developments, Chalegrove has worked closely with world-renowned architectural practice Squire & Partners to deliver an architecturally stunning building that offers an outstanding sense of luxury and picturesque views within Landmark Pinnacle.

The 75-storey tower has been conceived to complement the surrounding cityscape, with a pure glass-clad facade that reflects the light and movement of water and sky. Landmark Pinnacle has a rectilinear form which is orientated on an axis, ensuring the collection of 752 apartments will enjoy spectacular vistas across London and onto Canary Wharf. Once fully complete the building will complete the Landmark Trilogy comprising Landmark East, Landmark West and now Landmark Pinnacle.

Squire & Partners created the exceptional interiors of the building, maximising useable space, with typical apartments ranging in size from 426 ft2 to 1,171 ft2. Elegant carpeting, timber flooring and bookmatched bathrooms are key features of the residences, each bathed in natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Each apartment boasts a winter garden or amenity area, accessed via sliding doors which open to the elements. The intricately designed, double-glazed façade is comprised of bespoke panes and pop-and-slide doors which move out from its frame and slide inwards. Two elements specifically and exclusively designed for Landmark Pinnacle with a core concept that is not in use in any other residential tower of this size in the world.

Home of a number of exclusive features, Landmark Pinnacle will feature the highest residential apartments, residential gymnasium and double-height private roof terrace in London. Additionally, the 27th floor is dedicated entirely to providing residents with an indoor version of the traditional ‘London Garden Square’. Typically found in the prime central districts of Mayfair, Belgravia and Chelsea, the landscaped Panorama Garden Square within Landmark Pinnacle will be the only space of its kind within a residential tower and a first of its kind for London.

Other amenities include a cinema room, golf simulator, putting green, table tennis room, two arcade rooms with snooker tables, lounge and relaxation rooms, meeting facilities and two spectacular private dining areas complete with service kitchens.

Located in one of London’s best-connected districts, Landmark Pinnacle is within walking distance of three DLR stations, the Jubilee line at Canary Wharf Underground station, which is set to welcome Crossrail in 2019. A retail and dining destination in its own right, Canary Wharf boasts a number of leading restaurants, while esteemed private members society The Arts Club is opening in 2020 – the same year the development will be ready for occupation.

Landmark Pinnacle will complete construction with first residents scheduled to move in in Q3 of 2020.
