Launch Of World’s First Wellbeing Island Residences

A remarkable luxury property development on a private island between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is promising homebuyers “a transformative wellness and longevity-focused lifestyle that supports healthier, more vibrant living.”

Pitched as “the world’s first dedicated wellbeing island residences,” SHA Residences Emirates Island is being brought forward by developer IMKAN, and will be operated by wellness-minded hospitality firm SHA.

AlJurf island is located on the Sahel al Emarat coast, which is described by some as “the Riviera of the Emirates”.
Knight Frank has just been brought in to market the project’s latest phase, with residence prices ranging from £1.8mn up to £26mn. The first units should be ready for occupation in 2027.

51 apartments are available (1-4 bedrooms), alongside 19 Garden Villas, and 67 Beach or Shoreline Villas (up to six bedrooms a-piece).

SHA has been running since 2008, opening resorts in Spain and Mexico that cater to wealthy guests looking to live longer and healthier lives. The move into branded residences is an “evolution” of the business, says Knight Frank.

Villas and apartments on AlJurf feature advanced air purification systems, integrate dynamic lighting to regulate sleep-wake cycles, and have access to SHA’s clinic and health services – including in-house doctors, wellness practitioners and chefs. Residents’ amenities are organised into various “pavilions”, such as “movement”, “health nutrition”, and “mind & body”.
