Francis Holland Prep School has unveiled a striking floral installation for Chelsea in Bloom 2026, reimagining the story of George and the Dragon through a message of empowerment and resilience.
Inspired by this year’s theme, Out of this World, the all-girls Chelsea prep school created a display centred around a ‘Fearless Girl’ figure standing bravely before a dragon. Instead of carrying a sword, she holds a pen — symbolising the power of communication, confidence and self-expression.
The installation was designed collaboratively by pupils, staff and parents, with every child contributing handmade stars featured on the dragon’s wings. The display also incorporates the school’s core values, including courage, compassion and hope.
Located just moments from the King’s Road, Francis Holland Prep joined more than 145 participants in this year’s Chelsea in Bloom festival, which transforms the neighbourhood into a vibrant open-air floral exhibition alongside the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
