Movie star Edward Norton has sold his longtime Malibu beach house for almost a $1million less than the asking price.
The American History X actor has owned the robin’s egg blue house along Dog Beach in Las Flores, California for 10 years, but this month chose to part ways with the property for $4.395 million.
Marketed as a 'vintage Malibu' retreat, the waterfront home was built in 1945 and sits under a canopy of palm trees. The three-bedroom property boasts 8 feet of water frontage, as well as a wood deck, sandy lounge area and a thatch-roof tiki hut,
The home is divided into two distinct halves with the two-bedroom upstairs hosting an open kitchen and living room, leading out onto a wraparound terrace. The separate first floor has direct beaJeh access, one bedroom, a large wood-paneled kitchen and a living room, images of the home show.
Mr Norton bought the Malibu home in 2008 for $2.72 million and put it up for sale in February for $5.25 million.
The Fight Club actor will not be leaving Malibu, however, as he recently snapped up an $11.8 million beach house designed by prolific architect John Lautner.
