Colin Farrell is bidding adieu to his Hollywood Hills home, to the tune of $1.3 million. The Irish actor first listed the 1920s English country–style cottage, (which he purchased through a trust back in 2010 with then girlfriend Alicja Bachleda-Curuś) for $1.495 million last fall, and the home has now sold.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home spans 2,736 square feet, spread across three stories. Much of its original design and charm has been maintained over the decades, with leaded windows and coved ceilings throughout the common living areas, as well as several original wood-burning fireplaces.
The home's front entryway leads to a vaulted-ceiling living room featuring an antique chandelier; numerous floor-to-ceiling French windows allow in ample natural light. A study nook is located just off the living room. The adjacent formal dining room features double French doors that open out onto a covered balcony. The galley-style kitchen is situated just around the corner, with a staircase that leads directly out onto another outdoor space.
The master suite, located on the top floor, features a white-painted brick fireplace and a set of French doors that open out onto a private balcony overlooking the landscaped grounds. It also boasts a walk-in closet, as well as a master bathroom with access to a second private balcony. Out back, the home features a number of terraced flagstone patios that are shaded by mature trees, perfect for alfresco dining or lounging.
In addition to his recently sold cottage, Farrell owns another 1920s-era home in Los Feliz, which the Lobster star purchased for close to $4.3 million back in 2006.
