Buyers On The Lookout For Life Balance In Dual Season Resorts In The French Alps

La Ferme de Suzanne can be found at the foot at the Barbossine chair lift which gives owners direct access to the expansive Portes du Soleil ski area. The village has a lively local community and every August, celebrates the Fête de la St Laurent and the Fête de la Belle Dimanche. St Laurent is the patron saint of Châtel and the village adopts a carnival atmosphere celebrating the life of the Saint. La Belle Dimanche celebration is the local farmers tribute to the "beautiful Sunday".

Each Monday the village hosts welcoming drinks for new arrivals giving the chance for the local community and ski instructors to meet new arrivals and inform them of events taking place in the local community during their stay. On Wednesdays, the traditional market runs in the heart of the town providing exceptional local produce, including local speciality, Abondance Cheese.

For those looking to fly to the Alps, Châtel is located within an hour and half of Geneva International Airport and an hour from Morzine, both airports have frequents services to the UK making Châtel one of the most accessible ski resorts in Europe.
