Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville hotel brand is adding another new property in the Caribbean Basin.
The new Margaritaville Beach Resort is set to debut in Costa Rica, with a soft opening on November 1.
The 120-room property is located on the white-sand Flamingo Beach on the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, with a large pool with a swim-up bar, an oceanfront restaurant and lounge, a family center, watersports and a spa.
Guestrooms will showcase a 'casual-luxe' design and “soft color palette. Catering to families, the re-designed resort will now have specialty Family Suites with bunk beds and more.
The property also includes a tennis court and a fitness center, along with social and corporate meeting space.
The new resort will also boast a number of new signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts, including the Banana Wind The resort will also offer a revamped line-up of activities for guests including aerobics, aqua aerobics, dance, Zumba, Pilates, tai chi and yoga. Unique excursions will showcase Costa Rica, with day trips departing daily to popular nearby attractions and an on-site concierge to help guests decide what they will love most.
The new resort is set in Costa Rica’s popular Guanacaste province, the product of a rebranding of the Flamingo Beach Resort and Spa, and is now booking for travel beginning in 2019.
Margaritaville has already opened its new resort in Grand Cayman, while earlier this year the brand announced plans to build a $250 million Margaritaville resort complex at the Pointe project in downtown Nassau, The Bahamas - set for a phased opening in mid-2019.
