The triangular shaped property consists of hundred and eighty degree views of the Atlantic Ocean and glimpses of Table Mountain through the surrounding tree lines.

The design was motivated by the unobscured ocean view, coupled with the restrictions the site offered. To optimize liveable space and residential seclusion, rectangular blocks stretching along the sites boundaries interlinks with a curve and centres the living space, creating privacy from the surrounding neighbours. Moreover, the scheme allows each resident to have their own level in the development with a separate parking spaces and entrances on the ground floor that leads to their home. The layout permits each resident to live in close proximity to one another on the same plot without possible disruption from the fellow occupants. The property consists of a penthouse on the top floor with a two-bedroom apartment and studio apartment situated bellow, is designed to function separately for the possibility of sub leasing or partitioning.

The materials used to construct the multi-residential dwelling are true to the Cape region and due to the natural element of the materials, low maintenance is required. The interior finishes of the apartments reflect the concrete, brick and stone that is used on the exterior, and added white washed walls complements the simplistic and elegant spaces flowing into one another. Each space within the development was crafted to have a focal point onto the natural surroundings, eliminating dreary urban views, placing emphasis on the natural beauty within the region. Altogether, the abode liens it’s self towards a well-developed investment for the client and future investors, through incorporated knowledge of the district combined with sensible design.
