Sandra Bullock’s Property Empire Grows

Sandra Bullock might be back in witchy mode filming Practical Magic 2 with Nicole Kidman, but behind the scenes, she’s been conjuring up something even more impressive: one of Hollywood’s smartest and biggest real estate portfolios.

Over the past few decades, the A-lister, whose net worth is reportedly estimated at around $250 million, has quietly and purposefully scooped up homes across the country, transforming her rom-com paychecks into a high-end collection of private compounds, historic estates, and under-the-radar investments. At its peak, her portfolio comprised at least 17 properties.

She’s sold off a few gems in recent years - including a pair of luxe units at West Hollywood’s star-packed Sierra Towers and a breezy beachfront escape on Georgia’s Tybee Island - but the bulk of her holdings remain seriously impressive: a massive spread in Beverly Hills, two beachfront houses in Malibu, a Gothic Victorian in New Orleans, a historic townhouse in New York City, and a multi-property stronghold in Austin.

Bullock didn’t just fall for Austin - she went all in. Over the years, the Oscar-winning actress has quietly amassed a diversified portfolio of properties throughout the Texas capital, from residential hideaways in the affluent Westlake area to commercial buildings on buzzy West 6th Street. All told, she owns several million dollars’ worth of residential, investment, and commercial properties throughout the city.

She picked up her first ATX property back in 2000 - a charming four-bedroom home in the Scenic Bluff area. From there, her Lonestar holdings just grew and grew and grew to include a 6,000-square-foot estate on North River Hills, several parcels near the Colorado River, and a commercial building in West Lake Hills. There’s even a yoga studio. One of her more unexpected holdings, however, is Walton's Fancy & Staple. Back in 2009, around the time she was starring in The Blind Side, Bullock restored a historic 1800s brick building in the heart of town and turned it into a charming bakery, café, florist, and general store rolled into one.
