Seen in palaces, stately homes, Renaissance buildings and other impressive properties, marble is one of the oldest materials used in interior design. Thanks to the ease with which it can be mixed and matched, it’s also all the rage today.
Venis has created two new collections inspired by this fine stone, Milan and Rivoli, in discrete colours and a choice of formats suitable for living spaces of all kinds.
Milan is inspired by ivory cream marble, a well-known beige marble covered in slightly darker random veins that lend it a solid robust appearance.
The pattern that Milan emulates is from one of the classics in beige marble: a stone mainly quarried in Pinoso, in the Alicante region, exported to over 100 countries worldwide.
Marble, a status symbol
Milan comes in two floor tile formats (59.6 x 59.6cm and 80×80cm) and a 33.3x100cm wall tile format.
When it is combined on both walls and floors, it guarantees elegance and functionality, thanks to its ease of care and durability.
Milan also lends surfaces a sublime beauty evocative of the marble found in some of the world’s finest architectural heritage.
Rivoli: Inspired by Carrara marble
Venis presented Rivoli at the 25th PORCELANOSA International Exhibition 2019. With its immaculate white shades and subtle grey veins, it fits in with all design styles, particularly settings furnished in a more minimalist manner.
Marble is often also used in classic settings with a predominance of gold, black or copper, combined with large pieces of furniture with curved edges.
Rivoli is inspired by Carrara marble, quarried in Tuscany’s Apuan Alps in the place that lends this stone its name. A marble famous for its snow-white colour, it was used by sculptor, architect and painter Michelangelo to make most of his sculptures.
Rivoli’s immaculate purity is perfect for creating contrasts and for smaller settings, where it lends them an added spaciousness.
