Qetaifan Island FIFA World Cup 2022

With the addition of special effects such as; 3D mapping, Animatronics, Projection, Special Lighting, Heat, Vibration, Lightning, Drilling Machines and Fog Screens, the story is enhanced and enriched into an exciting and immersive ride with thrills and exhilaration throughout its length. 

You can also experience the adrenaline rush in The Icon Tower—a distinct zone in the water park. It is the world’s highest tower of its kind, that is 80m high, located on a small island opposite to Qetaifan Island North and linked to it with a causeway. You can reach the Icon Tower with an especially designed train that passes by the causeway to enjoy the premier rides including a 26-meter-tall rotating water slide, which is the first of its kind in the region. An elevator will also be serving all floors within the tower. Qetaifan Island North also features a luxurious hotel operated by Rixos for the first time in Qatar, a beach club, in addition to diversified waterfronts, a linear park along the island surrounded by retail outlets and services, in addition to distinct waterfront neighborhoods, a mosque, school, and world-class spas.  In addition to residential and commercial properties that will serve the tournament, tourists and fans can also use water taxis for transportation from Qetaifan Island North to avoid the crowd and traffic to Lusail Stadium. In view of the proximity of Qetaifan Island North to Lusail International Stadium, which will host the final game and closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022, and the expected high numbers of tourists and fans that will visit Qatar before and during the World Cup, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East, the island will provide all the needs of the masses and tourists; with projects, facilities, and entertainment activities in addition to temporary floating hotels for the first time in Qatar and fan villages with the capacity of 5,000 fans. 

It is worth mentioning that Qetaifan Island North features seven beaches; which makes it the city’s distinct waterfront destination. The island spans approximately 1.3 million square meters with 830,000 square meters of attractions. Qatar is in full swing in its preparation to host the greatest football event in the world, and people in Qatar have something big to look forward to.
