On the exclusive Cap d’Antibes, within the Domaine de la Belle Étoile estate, a newly built villa showcases bespoke interior design by Casamanara. The scheme draws inspiration from the property's history as the Hôtel Provençal Tennis Club, a glamorous destination between the 1930s and 1970s that welcomed figures like Marilyn Monroe and Coco Chanel. The design also reflects the waterfront setting and the artistic heritage of the French Riviera.
The interiors feature a color palette reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea and sky. Casamanara, founded by Piero Manara and Debla Manara-Berger, has brought their signature style to the villa, which includes a 23-meter glass-walled swimming pool, two guest houses, and 3.65 acres of gardens overlooking the Port de l’Olivette.
Casamanara's design approach emphasizes careful selection, custom furniture, and a balance of texture, color, and pattern. This villa displays pieces from their Casamanara Edizioni range alongside bespoke designs crafted by HKP International.
The contemporary main villa, ‘La Belle Étoile’, offers 14,200 square feet of living space with five reception rooms, six bedroom suites, multiple kitchens, a study, cinema room, and spa, as well as covered terraces.
The interior design incorporates handpicked contemporary pieces, such as a Victoria Wilmotte side table, set against a backdrop of creams, teals, blues, and celadons, with wallpapers and fabrics from Pierre Frey and others adding layers of color and pattern. Details include Lalique glass, Foglizzo leatherwork, and Turnstyle ironmongery.
Highlights include a circular lighting installation in the reception room, a curved cocktail bar made of hand-carved oak and Amazonite Quartzite, and Casamanara Edizioni’s Target mirror.
The principal bedroom suite features a private terrace, pale oak flooring, an olive-toned wing-backed bed, and silk velvet walls. Lelievre drapes add a nature-inspired touch. The suite includes two dressing rooms with white leather panels and twin bathrooms, one in Grigio Carnico marble and the other in rose onyx, both with bespoke cabinetry by Casamanara.
Within the estate, the original 1920s tennis clubhouse has been restored as a two-bedroom guesthouse, ‘Villa Céleste’, featuring vaulted ceilings with original beams and three terraces. Casamanara’s design here evokes vintage elegance with sisal wallpaper in the open-plan living/dining area.
The Domaine de la Belle Étoile, including the main villa and two guest houses, is available for viewing by appointment and is offered fully furnished.
