For over two decades advising ultra high net worth families on Wall Street to negotiating some of the world’s most extraordinary property sales, South Florida power broker Billy Nash has built a reputation as one of luxury real estate’s toughest negotiators, marketer’s and advisors.
Today, as creator and host of Passport Properties — a premium cinematic docuseries exploring architecture, culture and lifestyle through incredible homes around the world — he is bringing his unique perspective to a wider audience.
With Season One now delivered for global rollout and Season Two entering early pre-production, Billy Nash reflects on the series’ momentum and how global mobility is reshaping the way affluent individuals think about buying a home.
It’s flattering. I am a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain who changed the way audiences experienced food and travel. He showed that curiosity and human connection could transform a destination into something deeply personal and memorable.
With Passport Properties, the ambition has always been similar to him in spirit, though we never intended to seek out that comparison, buts it’s absolutely humbling to hear it around the world. The properties I explore are visually impressive, of course, but they are also the lens into local culture. Each cinematic episode highlights how architecture, heritage and everyday life intersect and what it’s like to live in these remarkable locations. We wanted to create something meaningful for viewers but also stay core to authentic storytelling.
I grew up in New Jersey, and was instilled with a strong work ethic early on. My first major opportunity came on Wall Street, where I spent 20 years in an industry that was defined by relationship building, trust and expert advice.
That experience taught me how to think strategically and build lifelong relationships. When I eventually moved into luxury property in Florida with The Keyes Company, Forbes Global Properties, I realised negotiation at the highest level requires many of the same instincts. It’s rarely just about numbers — it’s about timing, psychology and understanding what motivates people.

Luxury real estate has become far more nuanced in recent years. Buyers are increasingly focused on lifestyle alignment rather than pure scale or status. They are asking how a property supports the way they want to live — whether that involves wellness, creativity, family life or global mobility.
We are also seeing a growing number of individuals who operate across multiple residences throughout the year and I’ve been involved in securing deals for clients around the world. Real estate is becoming less fixed and more fluid, shaped by individual priorities.
After years of marketing beautiful homes, I felt that property TV often overlooked the deeper narrative. The most compelling conversations were about craftsmanship, legacy and place not drama in the office.
I wanted to create something cinematic that captured that emotion. The series uses exceptional residences as entry points into destinations — revealing the stories, traditions, perspectives and the communities that live there. It’s truly non scripted and authentic. People and culture is what’s beyond the walls of a home.
It’s hugely significant because the project was independently developed and fully funded. Bringing a cinematic global docuseries to market requires persistence, quality and a clear creative vision. We have a world class production team and response from international buyers has been amazing. It confirms what we felt we knew: there is demand for visually rich unscripted storytelling that feels authentic and grounded in real human experience. Partnering with Blue Ant Media, our exclusive global distributor has also helped to accelerate the series’ global reach. Blue Ant is a powerhouse representing over 200 territories globally
We are currently exploring a number of new regions that offer compelling architectural identity and cultural depth. The intention is to broaden the geographical canvas while maintaining the immersive storytelling that defines the format.
There are fascinating developments happening in parts of Asia, as well as emerging lifestyle destinations in other global markets. What matters most is finding places where design, history and contemporary living intersect in meaningful ways.

Increasingly, affluent families and individuals are enjoying lifestyles across continents rather than anchoring themselves to a single base. Connectivity, flexibility and access to culture are becoming defining considerations.
This shift is influencing everything from architectural design to how properties are acquired and experienced. Through Passport Properties, we are effectively documenting this evolution in real time.
Yes absolutely. There are so many amazing properties around the globe and all locations have their own unique charm. I tell my clients who are looking to buy an international home that it’s about intentionality — choosing environments that enhance how you live, think and connect with others.
Some of the most memorable properties I’ve encountered are deeply rooted in their surroundings. They reflect a sense of place and personal narrative that goes far beyond aesthetics.
That authenticity continues to inspire me and will shape how Passport Properties evolves as the journey continues. We have only scratched the surface and I’m so excited to bring millions of viewers along with me. This is truly my love letter to the world’s most extraordinary destination’s and what it’s like to live there. Grab your passport!
