A substantial landholding in Fife, Scotland could become a major new tourist destination for the nation, after being put up for sale by owner Hargreaves Land.
Located near the town of Dunfermline, the 930-acre St Ninians site is designated for leisure, tourism and recreation uses and incorporates a range of woodland and agricultural land.
Commenting on the development, Philip Rayson of Hargreaves Land, explained: “This really is an incredible opportunity to develop a unique and stunning landscape and create a vibrant future for this site.
Property agencies Ryden and Davidson & Robertson, have been appointed as joint agents to begin marketing the site and will be implementing a series of events to showcase the opportunity at a later date.
Niall Milner of Davidson and Robertson Rural commented: “We’re delighted to be bringing St Ninians to the market in conjunction with Ryden. It truly is a rare opportunity for such a sizeable and well-connected leisure site to become available with a clear steer from the local authority on what development will be favourably considered”.
Neil McAllister of Ryden added: “It is a privilege to be appointed by Hargreaves Land to market such a large area of land in Central Scotland which adjoins one of the busiest motorways in the country, the M90 which connects Edinburgh with Perth. The ease of accessibility to the majority of Central Scotland’s population will hopefully allow the purchaser to take advantage of the site’s development potential for leisure and tourism-related uses.’
