Providing a quiet hideaway at their peninsula for over 30 years, from when Bobby and Rosie Beare first began cultivating their landmark haven back in 1983. By mixing this breath-taking location with their love and passion, they have created unforgettable escapes for many over the years. In 2013, Gillian and Michael bought their dedication to preserving their childhood home and continuing the special experience their parents had so carefully cultivated.

Since their return they have spent years nourishing Finn Lough, whilst staying ever mindful of their responsibility to, and highlighting, the beauty of the surroundings, and allowing their guest to fully experience it. In the fast paced, ever changing modern world they have maintained the quiet and calm space in a wild corner or Ireland, creating the immersive experience that is nothing short of the definition of escapism.

There is a distinct emphasis on original design and unassuming service across the astonishing location, offering a range of accommodations and services. The most breath-taking are their unique back-to-nature domes. Beautifully designed to resemble giant bubbles and set within the woods on the banks of Lough Erne- the second biggest lake system in Northern Ireland.

These distinctive pods offer a complete digital detox. With no Wifi or TV the domes allow guests to escape the noise of the outside world in luxurious surroundings. The domes feature four poster beds, waterfall shower, vintage record players, underfloor heating and a telescope, the surrounding splendour.

Getting closer to nature and fully relaxing is offered in the form of the Elements Trail. At the forest concept spa, guests are taken on a private seven-point journey between wooden cabins, enjoying a range of different treatments including a float cabin; traditional Finnish sauna and lake plunge; aromatherapy sauna using herbal waters; salt scrub shower; hydrotherapy and foot pool.

After the experiencing these wonderful treatments guests can return to their private cabins and take in the stunning views across Lough Erne, enabling the relaxation to continue as they watch the water and wildlife just pass them by.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful surroundings forest area by bike or on foot, or they can take to the water on a pedal kayak and explore the vast lake with its scattering of islands, sandy bays and river inlets.

Still looking to the future and not having wasted any time, Finn Lough have lots of plans for the coming months and despite the set backs that have been shared by all this year, they are excited to continue to cultivate their own little community. The lakeside bar underwent an overhaul during the closure period and the new and improved will be unveiled this week. The Forest Barn conversion has created a beautiful new space to welcome guests to.

Prices for the domes start from £275 per night. Price includes one night in a forest dome including breakfast and complimentary bike hire. The Elements Trail is priced from £85 per person.
