Supermodel sisters, Gigi and Bella Hadid have both secretly Purchased pads in New York City, over the last two years in previously unreported transactions. Gigi chose a NoHo townhouse whilst Bella opted for a penthouse in Soho.
The Hadid sisters’ investments in Manhattan real estate have taken place under the radar, the New York Post reports. According to the publication, models Gigi and Bella Hadid have shelled out a collective $11.92 million, for the previously unreported purchases. Gigi spent $5.82 million in December 2018 for a sole townhouse in an Annabelle Selldorf–designed building in NoHo.
The duplex includes a trio of bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms and spans 2,955 square feet, with a 770-square-foot private terrace featuring an outdoor fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. The building was completed in 2016, and features top-of-the-line appliances and building materials, including marble slab countertops and a handmade Dutch tile backsplash in the kitchen. The main living area is open plan, and the master suite, situated on the top floor, has a large walk-in wardrobe, a spa style marble bathroom with custom mahogany vanity millwork, and heated floors. Gigi already owns another unit in the same building, a $3.97 million two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom apartment she purchased in 2015, which she reportedly hopes to combine with the townhouse.
Meanwhile, Bella, invested $6.1 million in a renovated penthouse in SoHo that she bought in late 2019. The airy apartment spans 2,180 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The building itself dates back to 1877, and wasn’t converted into condos until 2016. The building has been sympathetically updated and retains many of the original, industrial elements, including brick barrel-vaulted ceilings. Modern additions include a custom-built, backlit 100-bottle wine room; custom lighting; and motorized blackout blinds in the bedrooms. Built-in bookshelves painted a neutral shade of taupe add a calming effect to the space, and the master suite includes an entire wall of glass-fronted windows and a private roof deck provides some enviable outdoor space.
