Super-prime property developer John Caudwell has appointed luxury hospitality operator Dorchester Collection to manage services at the much-anticipated 1 Mayfair scheme on South Audley Street.
With a GDV of £2 billion, 1 Mayfair is set to deliver 24 new residences including lateral apartments, penthouses and townhouses, plus five staff suites and a realm of “stately home inspired” entertaining spaces and lounges set around central gardens. The scheme is scheduled for completion in Q1 2027, with a full sales campaign kicking off next year – once the first dressed residence is ready to show. Prices are likely to start from £35mn.
Ahead of the launch, Caudwell has brought in Dorchester Collection – which runs 5* hotels including The Dorchester (which opened in 1931 and is located a three minute walk from the development) – to provide full property management, a concierge and other hotel-style services for residents.
The arrangement “brings together Mayfair’s two most prestigious luxury destinations,” declares Caudwell.
1 Mayfair’s on-site amenities will include 24-hour security, basement parking, a health spa with 20-metre pool, gym and treatment rooms, and a concierge and valet parking – all managed by Dorchester Collection and positioned as “Luxury Services By The Dorchester”.
Alongside the usual fare, DC will be offering “a la carte” housekeeping services ranging from at-home dining and event management to pet care and personalised flower arrangements (via The Dorchester’s Cake and Flowers shop).
Residents will also have access to priority reservations at The Dorchester Hotel’s restaurants and services – including the three Michelin-star Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, The Grill, China Tang, a cocktail bar, and the spa.
