The former White Star Line headquarters, which sold tickets onto the ill-fated RMS Titanic, has been redeveloped into six stunning luxury apartments in the heart of London.
The historic exterior of Oceanic House in London has been restored using traditional materials, to bring this famed maritime building back to its former glory, transforming it into an exclusive development of five luxury residences and a duplex penthouse.
The penthouse has been created using the top floor of the original building and through the addition of an entire new floor. A condition of obtaining planning consent for the new floor was that the original pediment on the upper most façade of the building, which had been removed in the 60s, be re-instated, returning the façade of the building to its original appearance.
Designed by Morpheus London, the interior redevelopment harks back to the former workings of the Grade II listed building, with oversized portholes and circular tables reminiscent of fine-dining ocean liner style.
For the 5,496 square foot penthouse, they took inspiration from water, both in its free flowing and frozen forms. The fluid movement of flowing water juxtaposed with angular lines that form in ice, have been key influences.
All items of furniture and lighting are bespoke, having been made by craftsman and artisans to order.
Situated on Cockspur Street, at the intersection of Haymarket and Pall Mall, these apartments offer the epitome of luxury, with prestigious natural treasures on the doorstep including The Theatre Royal and National Portrait Gallery.
The Penthouse at Oceanic House is offered for sale at an asking price of £19,500,000, with the remaining apartments on the market for £12,000,000.
