Property developer London Square has launched a new collection of four penthouse apartments at its reinvention of the Branston Pickle warehouse in Bermondsey.
The Pickle Factory retains its original Victorian redbrick facade, but has been decked-out in an industrial-meets-Art Deco style. The 4.7 acre south London site includes a garden square and courtyards, gym and new Co-op food store, as well as new studios and gallery spaces for Tannery Arts, which works with emerging artists.
Design house Honky has created interiors for the new show penthouse, part of the “Blackwell Collection”. The team has gone for a loft-style vibe, with monochrome detailing, big open spaces and oversized Crittall windows to take advantage of city views.
The biggest of the new penthouses comes in at 2,000 square feet, plus a 500 square foot terrace.
This batch of apartments was launched at the weekend with an exhibition by local gallery Eames Fine Art, featuring works by artists Ross Loveday, Nigel Swift, Sophie Layton and Malcolm Franklin.
London Square picked up the former Crosse & Blackwell site in Southwark for £50mn in 2016, with plans to deliver 406 new homes across six buildings.
A two bedroom penthouse in the Pickle Factory’s The Blackwell Collection starts at £1.45mn; three-bed penthouses from £2.4mn.
85% of Pickle Factory apartments have already been sold.
